Katie Broadwater
Q: What subject do you teach?
A: I teach Film and Video and Film and Video II. I also teach the production workshop class.
Q: Did you teach at a school before coming to Germantown?
A: I did not. This is my first time teaching…ever!
Q: How do you like Germantown so far?
A: I love Germantown. I actually went to school here ten years ago so I graduated from Germantown and I went through the production classes and everything so I’m glad I came back to it.
Q: What was your teaching inspiration?
A: Well like I said, I graduated from here and went through the production classes and before this year I came back a couple of years ago and helped work on the theatre shows, so that kind of got me started in working with the kids and production and I really enjoyed it. It inspired me to come here permanently, because I know how much it was for me to go through the experience I went through here at Germantown with the fine arts and how much success I had and how it shaped me as a person and who I am, so I thought it was important for me to help guide students today and to give them the experience and the inspiration that I had.
