Christmas In Memphis
Amari Collins
This holiday season should be filled with cheer because there are a lot interesting things to do in Memphis over the holiday break.
Starry Nights
Starry Nights is a Mid- South tradition held at Shelby Farms Park. More than 2.5 million lights illuminate the sky in the largest light show and festival in the Mid- South.
This year they have added even more exhibits like the Starry Nights Petting Zoo where kids (or adults) can pet camels and more. Also, there is a photo booth where you can take photos with Santa and make great memories.
Starry Nights will be open until December 27. Tickets can be purchased at the gate as you enter the show, or you can purchase them ahead of time online at ticketmaster.com. and save time in line.
Snowy Nights
Snowy Nights at my BIG Backyard in the Botanic Garden takes place until December 30. This is a fun event for the entire family.
According to MemphisBotanicGarden.com, a themed lighting can be seen along Playhouse Lane and a musical light show takes place throughout the My Big Backyard set. You can search for hidden snowflakes in the midst of a musical light show throughout My Big Backyard set.
Mitten Toss and Tic-Tac-Snow are just a few activities for the kids to enjoy. Children can even create their very own design and plug it into the Giant Light Bright.
Tickets will be sold at the door based on availability, but you can also purchase them online at ticketmaster.com
Zoo Lights
Zoo Lights is a spectacular holiday lights display at the Memphis Zoo until December 30.
This event also offers photos with Santa, a North Pole Express tram, and Holiday Shopping in the Zoo's gift shops.
Tickets will be sold at the door. While you're there, don't forget to stop by Memphis Zoo on Ice - the only tented outdoor ice skating rink in Memphis.
