Andrew Meador
Q: What subject do you teach?
A: I teach Chemistry.
Q: Did you teach at a school before coming to Germantown?
A: Yes. This is actually my fifth year of teaching.
Q: How do you like Germantown so far and how does it compare to your past school?
A: Previously I taught at a small, private Christian school, so it’s very different from Germantown in terms of going from 300 students to about 2,000…I really like Germantown. I love my students and they have great personalities, and I enjoy teaching here.
Q: What was your teaching inspiration?
A: The reason I got interested in science was that I took an AP Biology class in high school. I had an awesome teacher. She was really passionate about it and she helped me see just how fascinating science is. So when I was going to college, I decided that chemistry was the most interesting me. I’ve always liked, in a “nerdy” way, the periodic table and atoms. Just think of them as Legos for the universe and I was fascinated by that and decided to pursue that.
